Video

interesting article on bullying

I found it interesting that the article suggested that teens who bully get an increase in social status.
I'd imagine that if a teen was nice to all of her (or his) peers then she (or he) could obtain a positive status.
The article suggested that many teens are insecure.

Watier risked job to resue family who made fun of boy with special needs.

A watier risked his job by refusing to wait on a talbe with a family that was making disrespectful comments about a child with Down’s Syndrone.

He risked his job in order to promote awareness.

I’m deeply saddened to hear about children being bullied, especially children with special needs.

Alye Pollack is one of the reasons.

Alye Pollack helps to express the need for change in her unspoken video, "Words do hurt." I think she is very inspirational. I'm glad she created this video. There are so many children and teens who are being bullied that we don't know about. The change must start today. This is one reason why I'm creating the "Popular Card Game." If only one game could change the world, then the world would be okay. I do hope the game will help to redefine what it means to be popular and to help promote pro-social behaviors. I want to help children and teens to feel happy most of the time and to have plenty of good friends.

How to teach social skills to kids who don't have any.
